Europe is undergoing a period of profound political and economic transformation. While this has produced challenges to Europe's political status quo, corporate leaders and to Europe's own citizens and consumers, it has presented an opportunity to reset old certainties. Political and business leaders continue to debate how Europe can regain an economic dynamism to generate the growth needed to maintain a welfare system relied upon by a greying population, while also rethinking how to make its supply chains more resilient in the light of growing geopolitical challenges. Europe must also effectively balance advocating for its own political interests amidst potential challenges from other continents while remaining receptive to expanding global markets elsewhere in the world. Key to both renewed dynamism and global competition is the question of how Europe can nurture the next generation of leading companies in AI and tech, clean energy, and other emerging sectors: not just becoming a regulator of choice in these industries but a global market leader in its own right. This private session brings together corporate leaders and investors from both within and outside Europe to debate the big issues confronting the continent, debating the risks to Europe's prosperity and identifying opportunities at a moment of great change.
