Global Energy Transition: Allocating Capital for Impact (Invite only)

Wednesday, May 8, 2024
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM PDT

As energy investments reshape landscapes, traditional private equity funds are under examination. The urgency surrounding rapid capital reallocation can be considered the greatest challenge of our generation. Are we maximizing our impact? Where should resources accelerate decarbonization? Brazil, for example, offers the most cost-effective nature-based carbon removal solutions globally. Join our discussion on private equity and the oil and gas sector transitioning strategies, emphasizing the need for PE and oil and gas stakeholders to develop and support a transition strategy. This session will focus on how to effectively channel resources for global decarbonization and consider the question of whether allocators should reassess their approach to driving change by potentially reconsidering investments in certain sectors, as passive capital allocation alone will not address the issue.
