AI's Ethical Frontier: Responsible Regulation...by Whom?

Tuesday, May 7, 2024
02:30 PM - 03:30 PM PDT

With great power comes great responsibility and, where AI is concerned, the specter of regulation. Who will make and enforce these critical legislative and policy frameworks, though, is not yet clear. Will federal governments or US Congress rise to the occasion, or is the growing raft of legal and enforcement actions by state attorneys general the best path forward? Achieving ethical, accountable, unbiased, and transparent AI will almost certainly also require industry involvement and accountability. Given these challenges, how (and how quickly) will AI’s ethical frontier evolve for the greater good of humanity?
