Neelam is presently working as Head Agriculture in J.B. BODA GROUP and engaged in assignments related to Agriculture, ESG, carbon, parametric insurance and Price fluctuation products for small and marginal farmers. He is engaged with different partners working on climate change and carbon markets and in active discussion for development of new insurance products for carbon markets. He has deep understanding of the rural and semi-urban markets and has been working in Agriculture, Insurance and Agritech sector in Indian Market for more than 20 years, he has understanding of customer segmentation, the social dynamics prevalent, and other factors which govern the purchase decisions of this segment of the population. His passion and commitment towards finding solutions for the untapped markets with huge potential, drives him to seek better ways of doing business and network with professionals from the sector who want to make a difference to the lives of millions. He is passionate about working on impact of climate change in Agriculture and find solutions to mitigate risk through development of new climate change insurance products. He had closely worked in Ministry of Agriculture (Government of India) for pilot studies in Technology Implementation for Pradhan Mandri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY, flagship Insurance scheme run by Government of India). He has also worked with leading insurer ICICI Lombard, Global Technology Company RMSI prior joining to J.B. Boda Group.
