Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien

Dr. Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien is a co-founder of Toronet (a blockchain infrastructure designed to solve real-world problems at scale, with a focus on Africa) and Founder, Growing Businesses Foundation (a 25-year initiative extending sustainable retail and recycling supply chains to the last mile in Africa). Since July 2022 she is also a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board, IFRS Foundation. She previously served as the inaugural Chief Sustainability and Governance Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, Africa’s largest manufacturing business, where she developed the company’s sustainability culture, strategy and reporting across 14 countries. Cemex Africa recognized her as the 2020 Sustainability Executive of the Year.

Dr. Nnoli-Edozien serves on the German Government’s Sustainable Finance Advisory Group. She previously chaired the boards of the Circular Economy Innovation Partnership Africa, Growing Businesses Foundation, and Boost Technology UK. She was founding Co-chair of the Private Sector Advisory Group on SDGs, founder and board member of Rising Tide Africa, and member of the Global Reporting Initiative Stakeholder Council and of the Nigeria Integrated Reporting Committee. 

She holds a PhD in social ethics, sustainability and governance from the Goethe University in Germany and has a Bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. She has made it her life mission to support Africa's sustainable development.
