Daniel Lubetzky

Founder, Builders; KIND Snacks
Daniel Lubetzky

Daniel Lubetzky is a social entrepreneur building businesses and civic movements that empower people to work across divides to constructively solve problems. The son of a Holocaust survivor, Daniel strives to prevent what happened to his father from happening again. While Daniel is best known for founding and growing KIND Snacks into a cult-favorite global brand, his foray into food was the unexpected outcome of his work to use business to bring neighbors in Middle Eastern conflict regions together. He conceived of the civic initiatives OneVoice, Citizen Solutions and BUILDERS to supplant simplistic “us vs. them” frameworks and replace them with nuance, complexity, and concrete solutions built via alliances across perceived divides. Daniel is a member of the Anti-Defamation League’s Board of Directors. He has received The King Center’s Beloved Community Award, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, Columbia Business School’s Botwinick Prize, Carnegie Corporation’s Great Immigrants Award, The Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award for Civility and Compassion and awards from World Economic Forum, Skoll Foundation, Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and Horatio Alger Association. Daniel was named a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship by President Obama. He is the author of The New York Times bestseller Do the KIND Thing and a recurring Shark on ABC’s Shark Tank.
