Abdiel Santiago

CEO and Chief Investment Officer, Panama Sovereign Wealth Fund

Abdiel Santiago

Santiago is the CEO and CIO of the Fondo de Ahorro de Panama (Panama's Sovereign Wealth Fund), managing approximately $1.5 billion aimed at stabilization and wealth creation, investing across global public and private markets. He brings over 24 years of financial expertise, with a background in investment banking, equity research, and financial regulation. His accomplishments include winning the 2022 Chief Investment Officer Industry Innovation Awards and serving on several prestigious advisory boards, such as the Export-Import Bank of the United States and the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds. Santiago is a US Air Force veteran and holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver.
