Love in the Time of Corona

Thursday, October 15, 2020

COVID-19 has fundamentally changed how we're creating, continuing, and concluding relationships in 2020. The complicated world of dating has been transformed. As Apps evolve to include test results and first dates require masks, the intimacy of isolation brought on by the pandemic has catapulted some budding relationships into dating in dog-years. While singletons revolutionize coupling up, couples are facing different challenges. For many, working from home has illuminated the unequal division of household labor, particularly as families face at-home education, disrupted routines, and mismanaged expectations. Signs also point to a pandemic-induced baby bust. With the economic loss, uncertainty, and insecurity brought on by the COVID-19 crisis, birth rates are likely to fall significantly in the coming months, rather than to spike as often follows a blizzard or blackout. As society continues to endure the pandemic, we explore how we're falling in, and out of, love in the time of corona.

This session will incorporate live polling, presented by the Harris Poll. This interactive feature is available for registered participants only.
