He sits on the boards of several Cathay portfolio companies as well as Natixis Group International Advisory and Cathay AfricInvest Innovation – a joint investment company managing the first Pan-African Venture Fund to connect the whole continent and the world’s leading innovation ecosystems. Under Mingpo’s leadership, Cathay Capital has grown to over EUR 4 billion in assets under management across 19 funds and has completed over 230 buyouts, growth and venture capital investments with nearly 130 employees across Paris, New York, Shanghai, Munich, San Francisco, Beijing, Shenzhen and Singapore. This includes established companies such as Suofeiya, Zbom, Meinian Onehealth, Moncler, Poten, Aihuishou, as well as breakout startups such as Pinduoduo, Momenta, Drivy (acquired by Getaround), Ledger, Shopal, Trifacta, Glovo, Owkin, Chime and KaiOS.
