Derek Rozycki
Executive Director, Head of Responsible Investing, Mubadala Investment Company
Derek is the Head of Responsible Investing at Mubadala Investment Company and has been a member of Mubadala's senior executive management since 2006. Prior to his current position, in 2017 Derek became the Chief Financial Officer of the Technology, Manufacturing and Mining Platform. In 2014 Derek assumed the role of the Executive Director of Corporate Finance & Treasury, which consolidated Mubadala’s centralized Mergers & Acquisitions, Treasury and Structured Finance & Capital Markets Units. From 2005 to 2014, Derek was the Executive Director of Structured Finance & Capital Markets. Since joining Mubadala, he has overseen the structuring and execution of more than US$100 billion in financing across the Mubadala Group. Before joining Mubadala, Derek spent more than a decade with Barclays Capital in the Investment Banking, Structured Finance and Credit Risk Management divisions. He worked in the New York offices of Barclays Capital until 2000, when he moved to Abu Dhabi to head the Abu Dhabi operations and Gulf-based structured finance effort, as well as to help lead the regional client relationship activities. Derek has held several Board positions, including LeasePlan Emirates (Board Chairman, ARCC), a UAE-focused vehicle leasing and fleet services company, Mubadala GE Capital (Board and ARCC), a US$5 billion commercial finance joint venture between Mubadala and GE Capital, Sociedad Minera de Santander (Minesa) (Board and ARCC), an early-stage gold mining company in Colombia, and GlobalFoundries (ARCC), a leading full-service semiconductor design, development, fabrication and innovation company. Derek holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Vermont.
