Steffi Czerny co-founded DLD Conference in 2005 and was appointed Managing Director of DLD Media in 2010. Steffi’s background is in political sciences and journalism. Since the early days of WWW in the 1990s, she has followed developments in the digital world. As Managing Director of DLD, Steffi has established “one of Europe’s most important innovation conferences” according to The Economist as well as numerous topic-focused spin-off formats such as DLD Women, DLD Europe, DLD Campus, DLD Cities, and DLD Circular. Under her leadership, the DLD brand has furthermore expanded with conferences and networking events in other cities. In addition to Munich, also New York, Tel Aviv, Brussels, Singapore, San Francisco, and London have now become regular DLD destinations. An accomplished leader, Steffi has repeatedly been ranked amongst the 100 Most Influential Women in German Business by German business monthly manager magazine as well as by influential daily business paper Handelsblatt. She has furthermore been identified as number 30 of The 2015 Wired 100 and as one of the 50 Most Inspiring Women in European Tech by inspiring50.com for her success in bringing the international digital elite together at DLD.
