Mr. Sokoloff is a Managing Partner of Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. ("LGP"). LGP is a leading private equity investment firm based in Los Angeles with more than $75 billion of assets under management. The firm partners with experienced management teams, and often with founders, to invest in market-leading companies. Mr. Sokoloff joined LGP in 1990. Prior to LGP, he was a Managing Director in corporate finance at Drexel and a Principal of Hambrecht & Quist Capital Management LLC. He began his career with Woodman, Kirkpatrick & Gilbreath and Merrill Lynch & Co. Mr. Sokoloff presently serves on the Board of Directors of Advantage Solutions, The Container Store, Jetro Cash & Carry, JOANN Inc., Mariner Wealth Advisors, Shake Shack, and Union Square Hospitality Group. His previous board positions include Authentic Brands Group, BJ's Wholesale Club, Signet Jewelers, and Whole Foods Market, as well as other companies. Mr. Sokoloff serves as a trustee of Williams College and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He is also a board member of the Melanoma Research Alliance. Mr. Sokoloff earned a B.A. in Political Economy and History from Williams College.
