Doug serves as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Lord Abbett. As the tenth managing partner in the firm’s 93-year history, he is responsible for leading the strategic transformation of the organization in pursuit of its vision to be the most respected asset manager in the world. In overseeing Lord Abbett, Doug is focused on expanding the firm’s investment offerings in the U.S. retail, institutional, and global markets—and driving growth. Since starting his career at Lord Abbett in 1994, Doug has provided enterprise leadership and guidance across every area of the organization, with a particular focus on upholding the firm’s legacy of leadership and driving its spirit of innovation. Prior to his current role, he headed Client Services and Product Development, and was deeply involved in shaping the firm’s ongoing global expansion. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1992. Doug earned a BS in business from The Pennsylvania State University. He lives in Summit, New Jersey, with his wife and four daughters. Doug serves on the Board of Governors and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Investment Company Institute, as well as a member of the boards of several philanthropic organizations. He has been recognized as an Ally of the Year by the Women in Asset Management Summit and Awards Series.
