David Lee is the Head of Samsung Next and EVP at Samsung Electronics. Samsung Next invests in the boldest and most ambitious founders, including those building MosaicML, Empirical Health, LayerZero Labs, and Mitiga, among others. Prior to Samsung, David co-founded and served as Chairman of Refactor Capital, a seed-stage venture capital firm that currently invests in startups in health and biology. He was the Managing Partner at SV Angel where he invested in companies such as Airbnb, Doordash, Dropbox, Twitter, Snap, Stripe, Instacart, and Square. David was an early employee of Google, a corporate attorney at Morrison and Foerster, and holds a BA from Johns Hopkins, MSEE from Stanford University, where he was a National Science Graduate fellow, and a JD from New York University.
