David Geenberg
Co-Head, North American Investment Team, Strategic Value Partners
Mr. Geenberg oversees the North American investment team, with responsibility across the firm’s investment, restructuring, and operational functions based in Greenwich, CT. Since joining Strategic Value Partners in 2009, Mr. Geenberg has led investment efforts over a range of industries including infrastructure, energy, power generation, and industrials. In that capacity, Mr. Geenberg has overseen the firm’s control deals in North America, including GenOn, SH-130, PureField, OmniMax, IPC, and Associated Materials. Previously, Mr. Geenberg worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co., most recently in its infrastructure private equity business, and, prior to that, in the investment bank’s natural resources group. Mr. Geenberg received a BA in Economics summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2005. Mr. Geenberg currently serves on the Boards of Directors of SH-130, OmniMax, and Associated Materials, and previously served on the Boards of several other SVP portfolio companies and investments including GenOn, PureField, and IPC. Mr. Geenberg is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Prep for Prep.
