Brad Gerstner is the Founder and CEO of Altimeter, a leading technology investment firm based in Silicon Valley that manages both public and VC investment portfolios. Brad has worked in technology for 25 years - as a securities lawyer; a founding principal at the VC firm General Catalyst; and a three-time Founder before starting Altimeter. He was born in Indiana, studied at Wabash College, Oxford University, Indiana University School of Law and Harvard Business School. He has personally participated in more than 100 IPOs as a sponsor, anchor and investor. Brad funds Give Forward, a family foundation that is helping to lead the school turnaround in East Palo Alto as well as poverty relief in the Bay Area. Brad is the Founder of Invest America, a foundation focused on shrinking the wealth gap, teaching financial literacy, and re-igniting a belief in free market capitalism. Invest America promotes legislation to establish a 401k-like investment account at birth seeded with $1,000 in the S&P 500 for each of the 3.7m children born each year.
