Samuel Chu
Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer, Phoenix Property Investors
Mr. Chu is a co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Phoenix Property Investors. He is responsible for overall investment strategies and the management of the Firm. He has been investing in real estate since 1989 and has a track record of over US$ 15 billion of invested assets. Prior to founding Phoenix in 2002, Mr. Chu worked in major international banks and financial institutions including Bankers Trust and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell with postings in Hong Kong, New York, Frankfurt, and Tokyo. He also has experience providing advisory services to a range of clients, including listed companies. Mr. Chu holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He graduated cum laude with Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Art in Finance and International Management from Georgetown University. He is a member of the Global Leaders Group of Chicago Booth and serves on the Board of Overseers of Squash Education Alliance.
