How to Be a Man in 2018
As traditional gender norms become outdated, men are exploring and reevaluating what masculinity represents in modern society. Leaders across industries are addressing distorted definitions of masculinity, challenging outdated patriarchal systems, and overcoming gendered stereotypes reinforced by the media. As men become more educated on the issues women are facing—without the fear of losing social currency among other men for doing so—they are figuring out their roles in the march towards gender equality. As we continue to uproot unconscious biases and come to terms with what they have cost us, men and women are working together on lasting solutions that can end a culture of complicity and establish more inclusive, healthy, and harmonious societies.
