Chairman and CEO, Crumpton Group; Former Ambassador-at-Large and Coordinator for Counterterrorism, U.S. State Department
Henry Crumpton is chairman and CEO of Crumpton Group LLC, a research and business development firm. Previously, he was ambassador-at-large and coordinator for counterterrorism in the U.S. Department of State. Crumpton is also CEO of Crumpton Ventures, which invests in telecommunications and cyber-security, and of Aardwolf Creative LLC, a TV/film production company. He is an independent director of Argan Inc. and serves on the advisory boards of Enirgi Group and DC Capital Partners. Crumpton has held several senior positions in the CIA's clandestine service, including chief of the CIA's national resource division, where he was responsible for all clandestine operations in the U.S; deputy of the CIA Counterterrorism Center; and deputy chief of the FBI's international terrorist operations section. A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he authored "The Art of Intelligence" and contributed to "Transforming U.S. Intelligence." Crumpton has a B.A. from the University of New Mexico and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
