Lessons in Leadership: Women Breaking Barriers and Battling Bias

Among the EU's largest public companies, women represent a small fraction of CEOs and presidents and less than a quarter of board members. Indeed, despite broad recognition of the problem, workplace gender bias and stereotypes persist. And yet, there are encouraging signs of greater opportunity and access for women seeking leadership roles now. This session will feature women who demonstrated fortitude, grit, and intelligence to overcome significant personal and workplace challenges—learning disabilities, government oppression and conflict zones, among them—to reach the top of their professions.
