Mike Piwowar, Executive Director of the Milken Institute Center for Financial Markets, named as member of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board
WASHINGTON, February 13, 2019 – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the White House announced the members of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board to advise the National Council for the American Worker. The National Council was established by Executive Order to create a comprehensive national workforce strategy so that America’s workers are equipped to succeed in the jobs of today and of the future.
“The way to ensure that every American has an opportunity to share in tomorrow’s prosperity will be to strengthen investment in education and workforce development,” said Mike Piwowar. “I am honored to join such an important undertaking and look forward to working with my fellow Board members to help guide the National Council’s critical mission to equip American workers to compete in the global economy.”
The Board brings together experts from diverse backgrounds and organizations including Fortune 500 companies, community colleges and universities, trade associations, organized labor, nonprofits, and government.
The Milken Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank determined to increase global prosperity by advancing collaborative solutions that widen access to capital, create jobs and improve health.
