We've all seen the statistics showing that small businesses create the largest number of new jobs, but these are the very enterprises that financial institutions tend to ignore. And female business owners experience even greater difficulty accessing the capital and resources required to grow their companies. Women currently own 8.1 million businesses, employ 7.7 million people and contribute $1.3 trillion to the U.S. economy - and with better access to capital, they can play a much greater role in our economic recovery. Sen.
