Anthony Armstrong is co-head of Americas Mergers & Acquisitions at Credit Suisse and a managing director in the Investment Banking Division. Armstrong rejoined Credit Suisse in 2011 after a two-year assignment as head of M&A for Qatar Holding (QH), Qatar's sovereign wealth fund. Prior to QH, he served Credit Suisse as head of M&A for Middle East/North Africa, based in London and Dubai, and as head of M&A Western Region United States. Armstrong first joined Credit Suisse when the firm acquired Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he was an officer in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. He has advised a broad range of companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic stakes and hostile transactions. Clients include the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, multinational corporations and leading private equity firms. Armstrong received an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University, where he earned the Dean's Award; he also holds a B.S. from Colorado State University.
