Andrew Morse is a deputy bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones Newswires in Los Angeles, where he helps oversee coverage of general and economic news. Before taking his current position, Morse ran West Coast editorial operations of Dow Jones Newswires from San Francisco, where the team focused on technology companies. Morse also served as the Journal's financial services correspondent in Tokyo. He is fluent in Japanese and was part of the team that covered Japan's earthquake, tsunami and radiation disasters in 2011. The team's work on the Japanese nuclear crisis was recognized by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers for investigative reporting. Morse has also worked for Reuters and Bloomberg.
