Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets
Bill Green leads renewable energy infrastructure investment at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets North America. Macquarie invests in wind, solar, biomass and other forms of renewable energy. It has deployed over 1.5 gigawatts of renewable energy around the globe. Green has devoted his professional career to the commercialization and deployment of alternative energy, water and advanced-materials technologies. Prior to joining Macquarie, Green co-founded VantagePoint's clean-tech practice, one of the largest in North America. VantagePoint led investments in numerous leading companies including Tesla Motors, BrightSource Energy, Miasole, Better Place and New Energy Capital. Green has led five companies in the sector over the past 20 years, including Ecolink, one of the first companies to produce alternatives to ozone layer-depleting chemicals; the Strategic Chemical Management Group, an environmental management company; Team Fuel; and the Environmental Forum on Technology and Business. In 2009 he joined with Good Energies and Prologis to found the French PV development company, Endurance Energies.
