Sabrina Ellis

Sabrina Ellis serves as the vice president for human resources at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. As one of the largest employers in the District of Columbia, the university has nearly 11,000 employees including faculty, researchers, administrators and support staff. Ellis is responsible for implementing strategies and initiatives for a range of areas including talent acquisition, benefits and wellness programs, employee relations, training and employee engagement, equal employment opportunity and information systems. Previously Ellis worked for the City College of New York as chief human resources officer and served for nine years at New York University where she provided human resources management and finance support to a number of operational areas. Ellis began her career as an information systems analyst at Abbott Laboratories in Chicago. Ellis holds a bachelor's degree in information systems and a master's degree in human resources management and business, both from New York University.
