Jonathan Greenblatt
Director, White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation
Jonathan Greenblatt is a special assistant to President Obama and director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation at the Domestic Policy Council. Before joining the White House, he was the director of the Impact Economy Initiative at the Aspen Institute, an effort to explore how public policy can help accelerate impact investing and scale social enterprise. Prior to this role, Greenblatt founded All for Good, a Web-based platform developed to increase the number of Americans participating in service and volunteerism that was acquired by the Points of Light Institute. He formerly served as CEO of GOOD Worldwide, publisher of the award-winning GOOD magazine, and he co-founded Ethos Brands, which launched Ethos Water, the premium bottled water that contributes to getting clean water for children around the world. When Ethos Water was acquired by Starbucks in 2005, Greenblatt became Starbucks' vice president of global consumer products and a board member of the Starbucks Foundation. Greenblatt worked on President Obama's Presidential Transition Team. Previously he was an aide in President Clinton's administration and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
