Peter Labbat is a partner with Energy Capital Partners, a private equity firm specializing in the North American energy infrastructure market. Labbat focuses on investing in fossil fuel and renewable power, environmental control companies, and energy-efficiency and conservation opportunities. Prior to joining Energy Capital, he spent 13 years in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. As a managing director at Goldman Sachs, he had senior-level coverage and execution responsibilities primarily for electric and gas utilities and independent power companies throughout the United States. Labbat was also responsible for mergers and acquisitions in the natural resources sector at Goldman Sachs.
