John Dwyer is chairman of Telcare Inc. In the past 20 years, he has held C-level positions in six emerging growth companies in the health-care and financial services industries. Previously he was CEO of e-MEDx and chief operating officer of Active Health Management (acquired by Aetna in 2005). After his last executive assignment as the CEO of Vetcentric, a specialty online pharmacy, he joined the law firm Arent Fox LLP, advising early-stage health-care technology and biotechnology companies. Dwyer is a frequent speaker on financing and regulatory issues important to emerging health technology companies. He also co-founded the Alzheimer's Action PAC, the first political action committee focused on a particular disease. A member of the Obama administration's Health and Human Services transition team, Dwyer serves on the boards of many private and nononprofit organizations, including CodeRyte Inc., the Earth Conservation Corps and the Trust for America's Health. He is a graduate of Marquette University and Cornell Law School.
