Andrew Tanzer is the Pacific bureau chief of Forbes magazine, and is based in Hong Kong. Prior to being transferred to Hong Kong, Tanzer served as the Tokyo bureau chief for Forbes. He began his journalistic career as a correspondent in Taiwan for the Far Eastern Economic Review, and speaks both Japanese and Chinese.

He received a bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University and earned an master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.
