Kimberly Wright-Violich is president of Schwab Charitable, a leading national provider of philanthropic services. In her 10 years at Schwab Charitable, she has turned a six-month-old nonprofit into the largest fundraising charity in California and one of the nation's top 10. She pioneered a program that lets donors recommend independent investment advisors to manage individual charitable accounts, and she created the first-of-its-kind Schwab Charitable Microfinance Program. A sought-after speaker, she is the recipient of many awards and was named one of Wealth Manager magazine's "50 Most Influential Women in the U.S. in Wealth Management." Wright-Violich, who helped found an orphanage in Kenya, has held leadership positions at many nonprofits. She holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University, and completed the Stanford Executive Program, post-graduate work at its Mass Media Institute and course work at Harvard Business School's Governing for Nonprofit Excellence Program.
