Louise Kelly is the founding executive of EnerBank USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of CMS Energy. Kelly is responsible for the overall management of this highly specialized bank whose only business is unsecured home-improvement lending, with an emphasis on green and sustainable improvements. While in 2009 the U.S. banking industry suffered its worst performance since the Great Depression, EnerBank USA saw its assets climb by an average 50 percent annually for the past two years. Kelly's banking career spans four decades, primarily in the mid-Atlantic region, with an emphasis on business banking, commercial marketing and consumer lending. She is chairman of the Utah Association of Financial Services, an executive committee member of the National Association of Industrial Bankers, second vice chairman of the Utah Bankers Association, and director of People Helping People, a not-for-profit organization.
