Robert Miller

Robert "Steve" Miller is chairman of MidOcean Partners as well as chairman of insurance conglomerate AIG. He served as chairman and CEO of auto parts giant Delphi Corp. from 2005 to 2009. Previously he held top leadership posts at Federal-Mogul, Bethlehem Steel, Waste Management and Morrison Knudsen. Miller began his career at the Ford Motor Co., and after more than a decade there, joined Chrysler, where he worked for 13 years, eventually serving as vice chairman under Lee Iacocca. Miller led the financial negotiations with 400 bank lenders and the federal government that resulted in the Loan Guarantee Act bailout package of 1980 that saved Chrysler. Following his time at Chrysler, Miller joined James D. Wolfensohn Inc., a New York investment bank, as a senior partner, and was an advisor to Olympia & York, a privately held real estate firm, as it restructured more than $20 billion of debts. Miller received an undergraduate degree and an M.B.A. from Stanford University, and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
