Mark Weinberger

Mark Weinberger is global vice chairman—tax at Ernst & Young LLP and a member of the firm's Global Executive Board, leading E&Y's tax practice in 140 countries and acting as senior advisory partner to many of the firm's largest global clients. Weinberger was assistant secretary of the treasury for tax policy in the Bush administration, overseeing tax policy issues and estimating revenue and forecasting for the administration. He also served on President Clinton's Social Security Advisory Board. Other former posts include chief of staff of the president's 1994 Bipartisan Commission on Entitlement and Tax Reform; chief tax and budget counsel to Sen. John Danforth; advisor to the National Commission on Economic Growth and Tax Reform; and member of the National Commission on Retirement Policy. He sits on the boards of The Tax Council and the American Council for Capital Formation. Weinberger received a B.A. from Emory University, an M.B.A. and J.D. from Case Western University, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
