Linda Cohen

Linda Cohen is a professor of economics and law at the University of California, Irvine, and associate dean for research and graduate studies in the School of Social Sciences. Her research lies at the intersection of economics, law and political economy. She focuses on government policies for research and innovation and on the relationship between the judicial and legislative branches in formulating administrative policies. She has published extensively on the economics of energy policy and innovation policy. Cohen is a fellow and former member of the California Council for Science and Technology. She serves on the National Research Council committee assessing the potential of energy efficiency as part of the America's Energy Future Project at the National Academy. She also serves on the California Council on Science Technology project, California's Energy Future. In 2004, Cohen held the Gilbert White Fellowship at Resources for the Future. She holds a Ph.D. in social sciences from the California Institute of Technology.
