Vinod Khosla is the Founder of Khosla Ventures, which focuses on traditional venture capital technology investments, clean technology ventures and social ventures, such as affordable housing and microfinance. He was a co-founder of Daisy Systems, which created the first computer-aided design system for electrical engineers, and went on to become the founding CEO of Sun Microsystems, where he pioneered open systems and commercial RISC processors. In 1986, Khosla joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), which had funded Sun. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, a master's degree in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
