Jim Gray
Sportscaster, NBC (Olympics), Showtime and Westwood One Radio
Jim Gray is a veteran sportscaster, currently working with NBC (on its coverage of the Beijing Olympics), Showtime and Westwood One Radio. He has also broadcast for CBS Sports, ESPN and ABC. Gray has covered seven Olympic Games, 21 Super Bowls, nine World Series, 18 NBA Finals, 11 NCAA Final Fours, 19 Masters tournaments and hundreds of championship boxing matches. He has won numerous awards, including 11 national Emmys. In 2005, USA Today named him the country's best sports reporter of the past quarter-century. In addition to sports broadcasting, Gray was a national feature reporter for seven years for the "Today" show. He has conducted thousands of interviews, including with Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev and seven U.S. presidents. He has also written for The Los Angeles Times and Sports Illustrated. He is actively involved with The Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Special Olympics and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Gray received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Colorado.
