Andre Agassi
Tennis Champion; Founder, Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation
Andre Agassi is a tennis legend, having won more than 60 men's singles titles. He is also the Founder of the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation (AACF). He began his tennis career in 1986 at age 16 and is the only male tennis player in the world to win all four Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal. The Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation was established to provide recreational and educational opportunities for at-risk youth in his Las Vegas, his hometown. Since its inception, AACF has raised more than $60 million for programs designed to enhance character, self-esteem and career possibilities. The Andre Agassi Boys & Girls Club serves children in Las Vegas with a full spectrum of sports, educational and social programs. In 2001, AACF opened the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy, a K-12 public charter school designed to improve skill levels and combat lowered academic expectations while creating hope in one of the most challenged neighborhoods of Las Vegas.
