Co-Founder, Good Capital
Kevin Jones is the Founder of Good Capital, an investment firm that facilitates the flow of capital to innovative ventures and initiatives to create sustainable solutions for such social issues as community and economic development, brownfield development and health-care financing. Jones has extensive entrepreneurial and private investment experience; he was previously CEO of Net Market Makers, which became the largest brand in business-to-business Internet commerce before it was sold to Jupiter Media Metrix. His previous six businesses all achieved market dominance before he left or sold them. He has served on the boards of the Social Enterprise Alliance, the association of nonprofit social enterprises, and Social Venture Partners International, a network of engaged philanthropy circles. Jones also led a malaria project in Zwaziland and Mozambique, working with Jeff Sachs of The Earth Institute at Columbia University. While living in Mississippi, he and his wife developed the largest per capita chapter of Habitat for Humanity in the country, building more than 300 houses and creating a revolving, no-interest loan for bank participation that became a national model.
