João Teixeira

João Teixeira is Managing Director of Golden Tree InSite Partners LP, where he is responsible for the firm's Brazilian investments and its São Paulo office. He has 25 years of investment, development and construction experience in institutional real estate in Brazil and throughout Latin America. He was previously the owner and principal of Investcorp Gestão de Investimentos Imobiliarios, a real estate investment advisory firm. Before launching his own firm, Teixeira was an executive vice president at Birmann, then one of the top five real estate development firms in São Paulo. During his 12 years at Birmann, he was instrumental in developing several class A office buildings in São Paulo, including headquarters for the Brazilian operations of Deutsche Bank, FedEx, JPMorgan and Microsoft. He began his career with Brascan, the Canadian-sponsored developer, where he was responsible for the completion of more than 10 million square feet of residential space in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Teixeira received a graduate degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in urban planning from the University of São Paulo.
