Bartle Bull
Foreign Editor, Prospect
Bartle Bull is the Foreign Editor of Prospect, the leading current affairs magazine in the United Kingdom. He has spent the past four years traveling in and out of Iraq, studying that country as a political analyst, magazine editor, freelance writer and author. He is also the editor of the "Middle East Monitor" (www.middle-east-monitor.com) and a frequent contributor to major international publications (The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Financial Times and many others). He appears often on radio and television, especially with the BBC and NPR. His next book, Babylon, about the long history of the West's relations with Iran, Iraq and Syria, is scheduled to be published in 2008. A former emerging markets equities manager and emerging markets debt business development officer, he has worked in locations around the world for Jupiter Asset Management Group Ltd. Bull received a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
