Eugene Williams
Chairman, Translational Medicine India
Eugene Williams is Chairman of Translational Medicine India, a clinical research organization that provides end-to-end clinical research solutions from concept development through regulatory submissions and study execution. Its clinical operations are based in several Indian cities, including Bangalore, New Delhi and Hyderabad; corporate offices are in Bangalore, India, and Waltham, Massachusetts. From 1998 to 2005, Williams worked in a variety of senior management positions at Genzyme Corp. He was a founding director of Adheris, the leading patient compliance intervention company (acquired by InVentiv Health), and Sleepmed Inc., a leader in the field of ambulatory electroencephalogram and sleep-disorder management. He has served on the boards of British Biotech and Vernalis, and he is currently executive chairman of China Preclinical Management Services. Prior to joining Genzyme, Willliams was a consultant with Bain & Company, Corporate Decisions and Axon Group. He received a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
