Erich Merkle is CEO of Solar*Tec AG and director of the supervisory board of SolarGlas AG. He has more than 30 years' experience in the commercialization of technological innovations as a professor, corporate consultant and CEO. He has founded, supervised and systematically established more than 20 companies with more than 200 employees. He serves as a member of the board of directors of multiple companies and as a member of the administrative board of a pan-European operating AG (corporation), based in Zurich, which deals with the pre-market placement of shares of innovative high-growth companies. He studied business administration and computer sciences at the University of Erlangen at Nuremberg, received his doctorate in technology marketing and has held a number of university guest professorships, in addition to consultancies for new entrepreneurs. He has practical experience in all fields of corporate and project management in preparation for initial public offerings and VC funding and creating complex ventures.
