Magnus Böcker
President, NASDAQ OMX Group Inc.
Magnus Böcker became President of the NASDAQ OMX Group in 2008. Böcker began his career at the OMX in 1986, and served in a variety of executive roles with the exchange. During his tenure as CEO of OMX (2003-2008), he strengthened the Nordic region's role in international financial markets. In a period of three years, OMX consolidated seven national exchanges; today the OMX Nordic Exchange offers trading in cash equities, fixed income and derivatives in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Böcker was also crucial in making OMX the world's largest provider of technology solutions for exchanges, clearing organizations and securities depositories. He is a member of the board of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) and chairman of the board of the Dustin Group; from 2000 to 2006, he was chairman of Orc Software. Previously he was with Ernst & Young. He received a degree in business from the University of Stockholm.
