Margaret Anderson
Chief Operating Officer, FasterCures / The Center for Accelerating Medical Solutions
Margaret Anderson is Chief Operating Officer of FasterCures / The Center for Accelerating Medical Solutions, an initiative of the Milken Institute committed to accelerating the medical research process for new treatments and cures for diseases. Prior to joining FasterCures, she spent five years with the Academy for Educational Development (AED), in Washington, D.C., where she was deputy director and a team leader for the Center on AIDS and Community Health. She assisted in the management of a 70-person domestic and international staff, and had responsibility for financial and budget oversight, team projects and strategic planning. Prior to joining AED, Anderson was program director for the Society for Women's Health Research. She also worked as a health-science analyst at the American Public Health Association and as an analyst and project director at the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment. Anderson received a master's degree in science, technology and public policy at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.
