Shai Agassi is the Founder and CEO of Project Better Place, a company focused on creating a scalable and sustainable personal transportation system. He works with governments, finance, automobile manufacturers and technology companies to install, scale and operate the infrastructure necessary for electric vehicles. He was formerly president of the Products and Technology Group at SAP AG and was a member of the SAP AG Executive Board (2002-2007); he was responsible for the global development of the SAP product line and SAP's portfolio of industry-specific solutions. A serial entrepreneur, Agassi has developed several technology companies, founding QuickSoft Media and QuickSoft Ltd., as well as TopTier Software and TopManage, which were both acquired by SAP. Agassi is an active member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum, where he focuses on climate change and transportation issues. He also writes "The Long Tailpipe" blog, where he discusses enterprise software and alternative-energy innovations.
