Thomas Shapiro

Thomas Shapiro is Founder and President of GoldenTree InSite Partners. He is also chief investment officer and oversees all investment activities and strategy. The firm is a partnership with GoldenTree Asset Management and invests in development and transitional properties, illiquid partnerships and distressed opportunities. Investments include common and preferred equity, and mezzanine and bridge loans. The firm has invested in office, residential, industrial, hotel and retail properties domestically and overseas. Prior to starting this venture, Shapiro was a senior managing director at Tishman Speyer Properties, where he sat on the firm's Investment and Management committees and worked in the leasing, acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, dispositions and development areas. Shapiro sits on the board of overseers of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Work. He received a bachelor's degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
