Ronald Packard is Chairman and Founder of K12 Inc. He was previously a vice president of Knowledge Universe and CEO of Knowledge Schools, which provides high-quality childhood education in community- and employer-sponsored centers, and invests in, incubates and operates several charter school companies. Before that, Packard worked for McKinsey & Company, as well as for Goldman Sachs in mergers and acquisitions. A chartered financial analyst, he currently serves on the educational advisory committee of the Department of Defense. Packard received a bachelor's degree in economics and mechanical engineering with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.
