Charles Edelstein
Managing Director, Head of Global Services Group, Investment Banking, Credit Suisse
Charles Edelstein is a Managing Director and Head of the Global Services of the Investment Banking division at Credit Suisse. He founded and oversees the bank's leading advisory practice in the education industry. He sits on the Global Recruiting and Investment Banking committees. Edelstein joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1987, having worked at Price Waterhouse for three years as a management consultant. He has worked on a wide range of transactions, including debt and equity capital markets executions, merger and acquisitions advisory work, corporate finance advisory work and other investment banking services. He has advised many of Credit Suisse's most important clients, including Apollo, BP, Career Education, Corinthian Colleges, DeVry, Ford Motor Company and S.C. Johnson. Edelstein received a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, a CPA from the State of Illinois and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar.
