Patricia Cloherty

Patricia Cloherty is Chairman and CEO of Delta Private Equity Partners LLC and Manager of the U.S. Russia Investment Fund and Delta Russia Fund LP. She is former co-chairman, president and general partner of Apax Partners Inc., a $10 billion private equity company, where she worked for 30 years. She is a past president and chairman of the National Venture Capital Association. In 1991, President George H.W. Bush appointed her chairman of the Investment Advisory Council to revamp the Small Business Investment Company program of the Small Business Administration. From 1977 to 1978, Cloherty was deputy administrator of the SBA, appointed by President Jimmy Carter. In 2006 she was named a "Technology's Top Dealmaker" by Forbes magazine. In 2004 she was named "Businessperson of the Year" by the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. The International House, a New York-based community of more than 700 graduate students and trainees from a hundred countries, has established the Patricia Cloherty Visitor Program. Cloherty received a bachelor's degree from the San Francisco College for Women, and both her master's of arts and master's of international affairs degrees from Columbia University.
